A Geometric Lollipop, Anybody!

How about a geometric lollipop?  It certainly makes a change from the usual sort, doesn’t it!  Created by The Science Kitchen in Berlin, these lollipops are just one of the many experiments in the trendy field of molecular gastronomy.  Also called modernist cuisine, culinary physics, and experimental cuisine, which Wikipedia defines as “a subdiscipline of food science that seeks to investigate, explain and make practical use of the physical and chemical transformations of ingredients that occur while cooking, as well as the social, artistic and technical components of culinary and gastronomic phenomena in general.”

I discovered these though the 2modern blog and wouldn’t mind trying one myself…
